Senior Adult Ministry

JOY (Just Older Youth)

Senior adults provide leadership, wisdom, and grace to the life of our church. Our senior adult ministry, called JOY, is a bright spot at Faith. This vibrant and active group, for the more mature members of our congregation, serves together, fellowships together, and laughs together.

Serving & Engaging

Our senior adults serve by teaching Sunday School, providing leadership for committees, and participating in many of our church’s mission endeavors in our community. They fellowship together with a potluck lunch and program on the third Monday of every month. Special outings to places like the Derby Dinner Playhouse and Holly Hill Inn and fun events like movie nights and a Valentine’s Tea Party keep our senior adults active and engaged. Some of our seniors play pickleball with other seniors in the community on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings in the gym.

Our senior adult ministry also takes good care of our older members by visiting our seniors regularly, delivering food after church events, and providing transportation when needed. JOY is a great group of people to do the second half of life with.
