Sunday School

Our Mission is to teach biblical knowledge and to encourage the individual to accept Christ and become a loving life long disciple.

Our Goals


  • Glorify God.
  • Promote understanding of the Bible and our Christian traditions.
  • Teach and develop a relationship with God through prayer.
  • Create support groups for shared prayers and concerns.
  • Encourage and nurture children, youth, and adults to progress toward Chirstian maturity.
  • Develop Christ-modeled behavior to promote a Christian lifestyle.
  • Encourage sensitivity to social problems and needs locally and globally.
  • Teach that a commitment to Christ involves service to and through our church.
  • Encourage the formation of a scripturally-based value system for one's personal, family, social and church life.
  • Develop skills in listening and critical thinking.

Young people study the Bible using Smyth & Helwys Youth Intersection guides.

Adult Classes


WATERSHED (A defining and pivotal moment in time)                                           Room 11
College students gather to discuss the ways in which the Scriptures and sources of the
Christian tradition confront the lives.

CAREER

Career and family oriented young married and single adults meet for fellowship and study
using Smyth & Helwys Formations Bible Study series as a guide.

KINGDOM SEEKERS                                                                                                       Room 9
Couples and single adults meet for Biblically based reflection and conversation.
        Lead by Elaine & Roger Ward


CHRISTIAN REFLECTIONS                                                                                            Room 12
Couples and single adults meet for Bible study and consider its application to modern life,
using Baylor University's Center for Christian Ethic's Christian Reflections publication and
other literature as guides.
          Lead by Paul Redditt & Jawanna Herd


ALL THINGS CONSIDERED                                                                                          Room 14
Couples and single adults discuss Christian lifestyles and issues using the writings of
contemporary authors and inspirational work.
          Lead by Linda Richardson


THE HAMBRICK CLASS                                                                                                 Room 15
Couples and single adults meet for weekly Bible study using the Smyth & Helwys
Formations series, and place emphasis on ministry opportunities, outreach, and
Christian fellowship.  New ideas and members are welcome!

Baptist Convention) Life Ventures guides.

BIBLE READERS                                                                                                             
Adults meet in the home of Lindsey & Judy Apple for Bible study focusing on specific books
of the Bible.
    Lead by Joe Lunceford
